Snickers Hot Chocolate

Here in Michigan we’re in the dead of winter and just the other day we were dumped on with snow. Personally, I hate snow, and I absolutely hate being cold. But what I do love is hot chocolate! So the other day after playing in the snow, we came inside and I made a delicious and warm pot of hot chocolate, but with a twist! 

If you love peanut butter, then this is the drink for you! If you don’t, feel free to leave it out and enjoy a nice, warm and sweet cup of regular vegan hot chocolate!

This recipe is honestly so easy, it doesn’t take much explaining. First, in a small saucepan, begin to warm the non-dairy milk, but be sure not to boil it. When the milk is warm, add your peanut butter and stir until the peanut butter is melted, then whisk in your sugar and cocoa powder and add your vanilla! Once all the ingredients are combined and warmed all the way through, enjoy! Top with dairy-free whipped cream if you’d like! Let me know what you think!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups non-dairy milk
  • 1 tsp creamy peanut butter
  • 2-3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, warm milk on medium-low heat.
  2. Add peanut butter, stirring consistently until peanut butter melts.
  3. Whisk in sugar, cocoa powder and vanilla.
  4. Whisk until all ingredients are mixed and melted.
  5. Enjoy!
